We, the First United Pentecostal Church of Okinawa fall under the Global Missions Division of the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI), as a Military Ministries church. We are also the headquarters for Asia Military Ministries (AMM), which serves the Armed Forces in Mainland Japan and South Korea. Since the establishment of the FUPC in 1979, it has always been our mission to preach the Gospel, serve the spiritual needs, and be a “home away from home” for the men, women and families of the Armed Forces stationed here on Okinawa. This is reflected in our church purpose and our church vision, “That you might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:10)” and, “to remain a church of divine leadership and spiritual growth for all.”In order to to meet our purpose and vision, our church goals are faithfulness by all in:
- Church Attendance
- Prayer Times
- Mid-Week Bible Study
- Daily Outreach
- Joint Outreach Efforts
- Leadership training
- Sunday School
- Personal Bible Reading
- Personal Prayer Time
Although the FUPC is a church with a revolving door, every individual and every family is important. We look forwarding to serving you in any way that we can, being a spiritual lighthouse to you and your family, and worshipping the Lord with you!
